Bio: Lionel graduated from The University of Texas at Austin in May 2021 with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and a Minor in Material Science & Engineering. As an undergrad, he worked on the UT Formula SAE Electric design team, where he helped to design and manufacture unsprung and braking structures for the car. He also collaborated with NASA JSC on a senior design project to modify the design of a terrestrial clothes washer for microgravity applications. Outside of school, Lionel enjoys biking, hiking, and camping in the beautiful outdoors, and watching motorsports.
