Bio: James graduated from Drexel University in 2019 with a Bachelors in Materials Science and Engineering. He then worked at the Consarc Corporation in New Jersey as a technical sales professional, focusing on the sale of vacuum induction melting, vacuum arc remelting and electroslag remelting furnaces to the domestic specialty metallurgy industry. He began his thesis at Colorado School of Mines in January of 2021. His co-advisors are Drs. Amy and Kester Clarke. Outside of school James enjoys exploring the mountains, reading and writing about history, learning new languages, tabletop roleplaying games, weightlifting and cooking.
