Project Title: In-situ studies of strain rate effect on phase transformation and microstructural evolution in β-Titanium and multi-principle element alloys

Bio: Yaofeng joined CANFSA as a post-doc researcher in October 2017 and works in the field of phase transformation occurred during deformation of β-Ti and high entropy alloys. Before joining CANFSA, he has studied various regimes of metallic materials, including crystalline, quasi-crystalline and metallic glasses with different types of electron microscopy and diffraction techniques, including X-Ray, synchrotron and neutron diffraction. He is particularly interested in crystallography and phase transformation in metals and alloys. As personal hobby, Yaofeng likes jogging, cooking, computer games and photography with both digital single-lens reflex camera and electron microscopy.
