Bio: David earned his B.S. Met. Engineering from University of Illinois in 1979, and his M.S. Met. Engineering from University of Florida 1983.  He retired from Wieland Chase in 2020 after 40 years in brass mill metallurgy. David has 8 patents for alloy alternatives to leaded brass due to toxicity concerns with lead. These are bismuth and silicon brass alloys. Outside of work, Dave enjoys golf and chess.
